2009 June 9
I read in yesterday's paper: "Lebanon's US-backed coalition claimed a key election victory today over an alliance led by the Shiite militant group Hezbollah." Read more:

Another statement there was: "Voters turned out in force for what was considered one of Lebanon's most crucial elections, seen as a key test of whether the country would continue on a pro-Western path or tilt towards Iran, the regional Shiite powerhouse."

I of course had to think of what I had written on 20th February 2009 and there the key idea came from Daniel chapter 8 verse 3 and 4 where Iran is described as the ram that charges toward the west.

And on 4th May 2009 I wrote about Iran's goal of regional domination and how it had targeted six allies of the U.S.: Egypt, Lebanon, Bahrain, Morocco, Kuwait and Jordan; and that Tehran expects Lebanon as its first prize; and that wherever possible, it is determined to pursue its goal through open political means, including election.

Another statment there is: "With pro-American and other democratic groups disheartened by the perceived weakness of the Obama administration, Tehran hopes its allies will win all the elections planned for this year in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and the Palestinian territories."

So this then was one of these elections and the outcome was not what the Iranians expected it to be. They lost.

So will now a military action be an alternative? Will the ram now charge toward the west?
