First a news item from this week:

A prominent professor in Mumbai stated that the study of the Hindu epics is all needed to understand the ancient world. He also added that one should not rely on modern evidence or research.

The Indian Science Congress is a five-day symposium that will have Nobel laureates as speakers. This event will have a segment that will examine the role of "ancient sciences through Sanskrit".

Captain Anand J Bodas is one of the speakers. He told Mumbai Mirror that aeroplane was a vehicle that was discovered back in the Vedic era. That time it was so advanced that it could not just move from one country to another, but also from one planet to another.

He said, "In those days aeroplanes were huge in size, and could move left, right, as well as backwards, unlike modern planes which only fly forward".

He went on to quote an ancient Indian treatise on aviation, the Vaimanika Prakaranam as his source text. It stated an even more bizarre twist for the unbelieving. It said that most of its principles have been forgotten because with the passage of time, foreign rulers and things got stolen from the country.

Professor Gauri Mahulikar, head of Mumbai University's Sanskrit Department and coordinator for the session, gave a justification for keeping this session. She stated that Captain Bodas is himself a pilot, and his co-presenter, Ameya Jadhav, holds an M. Tech degree besides an MA in Sanskrit.

All these things will also be included in schools syllabus as Y Sudershan Rao, the recently appointed head of the Indian Council of Historical Research said that the Modi government gave a great push to teach the superiority of Hindu values and mythology at the cost of academic rigour.

And now a quote from Jakob Lorber (jl.hag3.222,09):

We are well familiar with the principles of aero-statics (airship travel)! Canít we convert these so that we occupy even the most inaccessible tops of the mountains with them?! What advantage would that be!

This comes from Jakob Lorberís book "Die Haushaltung Gottes" (The Household of God) and there from Volume 3, Chapter 222. It is verse 9.

And this quote is part of a discussion in the High Council of the priests in the city of Hanoch and the speaker is a priest with the name Gurat, who later becomes the last king of Hanoch.

The kingdom of Hanoch was quite extensive. Its capital was the city Hanoch, mentioned in Genesis 4:17, and was situated in a valley that was flooded by Noahís Flood and is now called the Caspian Sea.
